Revelation, The Kingdom Yet to Come

Tuesday January 16th, 2024 thru Tuesday March 19th , 2024

9am-11am in the Parish Hall

An intriguing eleven-session study program that shows how the kingdom established by Christ in his Church is intimately connected with the kingdom of heaven. In this study, presenter Jeff Cavins pulls back the veil on the rich symbolism present in Revelation. Discover what the mysterious figures and images of Revelation mean and see how Revelation is more than an apocalyptic vision of the “end times.” Explore the Church’s teaching on the second coming of Christ and the Last Judgment. Understand how God, the Divine Bridegroom, and the Church, his spotless bride, enter into a heavenly, holy, and mystical marriage every time we celebrate Mass.

Adult Faith Formation and Bible Study

If you have ever had a conversation with someone from another Christian faith tradition, you may have experienced the feeling that they seem to know more about the Bible than you. Queen of Angels is blessed to have had the opportunity to hold Bible studies for many years now.

Bible studies are currently offered Tuesday evenings. The studies we utilize are from Ascension Press, Word on Fire, St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology, and the Augustine Institute. Studies vary from a quick look at salvation history in the Bible to a 26-week study on Church history. Most of the studies offer a video presentation by scholars, discussion time, and reading assignments for the next session.

If you are interested in attending, check the bulletin for upcoming classes. If you are interested in facilitating a class, please contact the parish office at 619-445-2145 or parishqofa@gmail.com.
